Samosa is a snack item prepared with Maida and a stuffed material is filled on samosa. For the stuffing generally potatoes, onions, lentils and peas are used. This hot samosa is taken as a snack item with green chutney or fried green chillies.Samosa Ingredients for outer layer
- Maida or all purpose flour – 1 cup
- Oil – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Ajwain – ½ tbsp
- Water – ½ cup

- Ginger – 1 inch
- Boiled potatoes – 2 peeled
- Onion – 1 medium
- Green chillies – 2 sliced
- Chopped coriander leaves
- Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Turmeric powder – ½ tbsp
- Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
- Cumin powder - 1 tbsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tbsp for taste
- Chat masala – 1 tbsp for taste
- Jeera seeds – 1 tbsp
Samosa Preparation
Step 1
Take a bowl and put all purpose flour or Maida add salt to taste, ajwain and some water. Mix the content and prepare dough like batter. Add a little bit of oil also because it gives crispy to samosa. Keep it aside.

Step 2
For the preparation of potato stuffing take a non stick pan heat oil add jeera seeds, onions, ginger and green chillies. Fry the content till onions are soft. Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Fry the content for two minutes. Finally add some lemon juice after removing from the flame.
Step 3
Take the prepared dough and make it small rolls and prepare circles. And cut the circles into two pieces. Now put the stuffed potato on the piece and close the edges to the centre. In a frying bowl heats oil for deep frying. Now fry the samosa are in hot oil till golden colour. Take the samosa in serving plate and serve Samosa with fried green chillies or pudina chutney.
