Chilli chicken is an Indo Chinese style chicken dish. For this dish mostly use the boneless chicken only. But some time we can also the chicken with bones. The taste of chicken comes from the process of marinating. The chicken pieces will absorbs all spices and flavors. We can prepare this like a dry or gravy type dish. We can serve this with sliced onions and lemon juice. It is a delicious and fantastic dish to eat in snack time.Chilli chicken recipe Ingredients
- Boneless chicken – 500 grams
- Chilli sauce – 1 tbsp
- Soya sauce – 1 tbsp
- Corn flour – 3 tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 tbsp
- Egg – 1
- Pepper powder – 1 tbsp
- Vinegar – 1 tbsp
- Chopped onion – 1 medium
- Chopped garlic – 5
- Chopped capsicum – 1 medium
- Sliced green chillies – 3
- Chopped spring onion – 3 tbsp
- Chopped celery – 2 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Chilli chicken recipe Preparation
Step 1
Clean the boneless chicken and cut them into small pieces and put chicken pieces into a bowl add chilli sauce, pepper powder, Soya sauce, salt to taste and little bit of vinegar. Mix all the content and keep it aside for one hour.
Step 2
Now take the chicken bowl and sprinkle the corn flour, red chilli powder and egg white and mix the content well. Take a kadai and heat oil on it. Now deep fry the marinated chicken till golden colour. Put the chicken pieces on a tissue paper for removing the extra oil. Take non stick pan put 2 tbsp of oil and heat it add chopped garlic, chopped onions, capsicum, green chillies and celery fry them for 3 minutes.
Step 3
In a small bowl put ½ tbsp Soya sauce, 1 tbsp chilli sauce and red chilli powder mix the content well and use it for sauce. Now fry the veggies till they are soft. Now add prepared sauce cook for 1 minute. And add fried chicken mix the content well for 2 minutes. Finally serve the chilli chicken in a serving bowl and garnish it with chopped spring onions and lemon juice.
