Chicken Spaghetti Casserole Recipe


Chicken Spaghetti Casserole recipe ingredients:


  1. 1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken
  2. 1 1/2 cups chopped celery
  3. 1 cup chopped onion
  4. 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  5. 1 (16 ounce) package uncooked spaghetti
  6. 1 (8 ounce) package Cheddar cheese, shredded
  7. 2 (10.75 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  8. 1 (6 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained  


Chicken Spaghetti Casserole recipe Directions:


  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil. Add chicken and simmer for 35-45 minutes, or until it is no longer pink inside. Remove the chicken from the pot, reserving the broth cooking chicken in a pot, and let it cool before boning. Remove chicken meat from bones and crusher. Set aside.
  2. In a pot with chicken broth, combine the celery, onion, parsley and spaghetti. Bring to a boil and cook 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente spaghetti. Drain, reserving 1 cup of broth.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  4. Return the drained noodles, celery, onion and parsley to the pot. Add the reserved chicken broth, shredded chicken, cream of mushroom soup and sliced mushrooms. Mix, then evenly fold and spread mixture in a baking pan 9x13 inches and sprinkle with cheese.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
