Gajar halwa is a sweet dessert which is famous in India. During festival time everyone prepare this recipe as a dessert. Mostly in the days of Diwali, Holi, Eid and Raksha bandhan are the important festivals for Indian people. During these festivals commonly people made this Gajar halwa. For the preparation of Gajar halwa it contains only few ingredients like carrot, ghee, milk and sugar. Only these few ingredients are used to prepare Gajar halwa.Gajar Halwa recipe Ingredients
- Grated carrot – 1 cup
- Ghee – 3 tbsp
- Milk – 1 cup
- Sugar – 5 tbsp
- Cashew nuts – 6
- Green cardamom – 2
- Golden raisins – 2 tbsp
- Chopped badam – 1 tbsp
Gajar Halwa recipe Preparation
First wash the carrots and grate them in a bowl. Take a non stick pan and put one tbsp of ghee add the grated carrot mix the content for 2 minutes. Now add 1 cup of milk to the carrot content. Put the flame on low and mix the content gently for 10 minutes. Add one tbsp of ghee and cook the content for another 5 minutes till the milk will evaporate. Now add remaining ghee and cardamom powder to the content. Take another pan and put some ghee adds cashew and golden raisins fry them till golden colour for garnishing. Take the Gajar halwa in a serving bowl and garnish with fried cashews, golden raisins and chopped badam.
