Shrimp Creole how to make easy Shrimp Creole recipe at home

Shrimp Creole is a main dish in United States. In this dish we can use the cooked shrimps. And a mixture it consists of diced tomatoes, onions, celery, bell pepper and spices. It gives extra flavor to the dish. The cooked shrimps are added in the mixture. This shrimp Creole is served with boiled or steamed white rice. It is a perfect dish for white rice.

Shrimp Creole Ingredients

  1. Chopped celery – 1 cup
  2. Onions – 2 chopped
  3. Garlic cloves – 3
  4. Butter – 4 tbsp
  5. Green peppers – 2 chopped
  6. Tomato sauce – 2 cans
  7. Parsley – 2 tbsp
  8. Red cayenne pepper – ½ tbsp
  9. Thyme - 1 tbsp
  10. Cooked or boiled rice – 3 cups hot
  11. Spring onions - 1/2 cup
  12. Salt to taste
  13. Shrimps – 1 kg peeled
  14. Ketchup – ½ cup
  15. Flour – ¼ cup
  16. Lemon juice – 3 tbsp

Shrimp Creole Preparation

Take a large cooking bowl melt the butter add chopped onions, chopped green pepper, celery, and garlic cloves cook the vegetables for three minutes. Add the flour to the vegetable content cook for one minute. Now add tomato sauce, parsley, bay leaf, thyme, ketchup, red cayenne pepper, lemon juice and salt to taste. Mix the content well and cook the content for 30 minutes on low flame. Finally add the shrimps and cook for 10 minutes till they become pink colour. Take a serving bowl serve the shrimp Creole with the hot cooked rice and garnish the dish with spring onions serve Shrimp Creole  it hot. Eat it and enjoy.
