- Chopped celery – 1 cup
- Onions – 2 chopped
- Garlic cloves – 3
- Butter – 4 tbsp
- Green peppers – 2 chopped
- Tomato sauce – 2 cans
- Parsley – 2 tbsp
- Red cayenne pepper – ½ tbsp
- Thyme - 1 tbsp
- Cooked or boiled rice – 3 cups hot
- Spring onions - 1/2 cup
- Salt to taste
- Shrimps – 1 kg peeled
- Ketchup – ½ cup
- Flour – ¼ cup
- Lemon juice – 3 tbsp
Shrimp Creole Preparation
Take a large cooking bowl melt the butter add chopped onions, chopped green pepper, celery, and garlic cloves cook the vegetables for three minutes. Add the flour to the vegetable content cook for one minute. Now add tomato sauce, parsley, bay leaf, thyme, ketchup, red cayenne pepper, lemon juice and salt to taste. Mix the content well and cook the content for 30 minutes on low flame. Finally add the shrimps and cook for 10 minutes till they become pink colour.
