Oyster sauce-Chinese Crab in Oyster Sauce step by step . Crab in oyster sauce is a sea food made with crabs served in oyster sauce. It is a most popular and famous recipe for Chinese and also the people in Asia. For this recipe mostly mud crabs and blue crabs are used. In this dish first the crabs are cleaned and cut them into pieces. the pieces are gently stir fried in oil. To the oyster sauce add garlic cloves, onions, ginger and scallion. Then the perfect oyster sauce will be prepared. For the thickness of the sauce corn starch and water will be added. It is a savory crab dish.

Oyster sauce-Chinese Crab in Oyster Sauce Ingredients

  1. Oyster sauce – ½ cup
  2. Mud crabs – 1 kg   
  3. Garlic cloves – 3
  4. Chopped ginger – 1 inch
  5. Oil – 3 tbsp
  6. Water – 1 cup
  7. Corn starch – ½ tbsp
  8. Sugar - 1 tbsp
  9. Spring onions – 1 bunch
  10. Salt to taste

Oyster sauce-Chinese Crab in Oyster Sauce Preparation

Step 1

Take the mud crabs and wash them with running water. Cut the each crab into four pieces keep them aside. Heats oil for deep frying. Now dip the crab pieces into corn starch and deep fry them in hot oil. Keep them aside.

Step 2

Take a non stick pan heat oil on low flame add chopped garlic and ginger fry them for one minute till the fragrant comes out. Add oyster, water, salt to taste and 1 tbsp of sugar. Bring the content to a boil for 5 minutes. Take the fried crab pieces in a serving bowl and put the prepared sauce on fried crabs. Garnish the dish with spring onions serve Oyster sauce-Chinese Crab in Oyster Sauce  it hot.
