Chicken Adobo recipe ingredients:
- 1 (2 to 3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar 1/4 cup soy sauce
- Ground black pepper to taste 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 2 bay leaves
Chicken Adobo recipe directions:
- Place chicken pieces in a large bowl. Pour the vinegar and soy sauce over the chicken and season with black pepper to taste. Toss to coat.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat, and brown garlic. Be careful not to burn garlic, as this will make the dish taste bitter. After roasted garlic, and remove the oil.
- Place the marinated chickenpieces in hot oil. Pour remaining marinade over all, and add the bay leaves. Reduce heat to low and cook the chicken pieces for about 10 minutes per side, or until it is no longer pink and juices run clear. The marinade is reduced, and makes a good sauce. Remove the bay leaves and serve immediately.
